Description
Charles River Zen is offering a Day of Rinzai Zen practice on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Watertown Center for Healing Arts, 17 Spring Street, in Watertown. The program includes seated meditation (zazen), walking meditation (kinhin), chanting, formal tea (sarei), as well as a Dharma Talk and the opportunity to meet privately with a Zen Teacher (dokusan).
The formal program begins promptly at 10 am. Beginners are welcome, a brief introduction and review of the form is available at 9:45 am. During the lunch break participants are encouraged to remain at the center and consume their packed lunch; tea, fruit, and cookies will be provided. The afternoon program ends at 4 pm. During this retreat you will also have the chance to witness a jukai ceremony, in which the Buddhist precepts are given to a long-time member of the sangha.

The suggested contribution for the general public is $70, Charles River Zen Members are asked to contribute $65.
If you sign up and pay in full before February 12, you will receive an additional $10 discount.
